Teaching Experience

Kristie teaches Ethical and Responsible Management (MGMT 372) at Iowa State University. She received the 2022 Graduate Student Excellence in Teaching Award in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.

Student Evaluation Excerpts:

The way Kristie organized her class made students care about the subject matter. By starting with the "why" followed by interactive thought experiments, case studies, and stories, students were as engaged in a way that I have only seen a handful of times during my experience in college.

Kristie displayed a deep understanding of the subject matter throughout the semester. She provided a slew of real-world examples and scenarios throughout the course. She was also very helpful and understanding of different perspectives and always made an attempt to guide us in the right direction.

I genuinely looked forward to coming to class each day because she did an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome. Each student was encouraged to speak up and give feedback/opinions about the topics we covered in class, and she always had a great response. Overall, not only was this a very interesting class, I can clearly see how it will be relevant to my future career.
